Refund & Cancellation Policy
General principles for service cancellations and professional fees; the agreed engagement may include more specific terms.
Before substantive work starts
If a client cancels before substantive work has started, a professional-fee refund may be considered less unavoidable payment-processing or third-party charges.
After work starts
Once document review, cleanup, reconciliation, setup, calculation or other substantive work has begun, fees relating to completed work are generally not refundable. If an engagement ends early, any refund is assessed against work already performed and costs incurred.
Third-party charges
Government filing fees, software subscriptions, registered-agent or formation-agent fees, payment charges and other third-party costs are generally governed by the relevant provider and are separate from QTax professional fees.
Client delays
A refund is not automatically due where work cannot be completed because required information was not provided, approvals were delayed or records were materially inaccurate. This policy does not limit rights that cannot legally be excluded.
